It's nice to have you here. You bring the holiday that is all about food, and with your arrival radio stations begin playing festive music. I get the green light to officially stop shaving my legs until at least April and we get to trade in homework sessions and answering the phone at work for eating turkey and making memories with family. Welcome November, thanks for coming.

Red Leaves
I swear this has to be the most gorgeous fall I can remember. Trees are lit with so many different colors everywhere I turn, I hate to think it will all come to an end in a few short weeks. I'm trying my hardest to soak in this beautiful time of year. On Sunday I grabbed my camera and some of my favorite people and we spent the afternoon admiring the mountains.

Details from a rainy weekend away
We headed north for a cozy condo weekend with family. Here are some details of our trip:
Wrought iron fences, rain covered flowers and ice cream
Hours of card games, beautiful scenery and my lacy sisterNot many pictures of us due to the fact that, well we were greasy and in sweats most of the weekend.
It was bliss. Hope you had a great weekend too!

Easter

This year Easter was a bit unconventional. We're actually postponing it 2 weeks until we're home and can celebrate with the whole family. That, however didn't stop me from sporting my yellow Easter dress and eating a little extra chocolate. I loved going to church to listen to the story of Jesus life, death and resurrection. It fills me with hope and gratitude for Him and His sacrifice for me.
I hope you had a great Easter Sunday!

Pumpkin Patch
"Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He's gotta pick this one. He's got to. I don't see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there's not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see. Weekend Away
These are some of the shining moments from our cabin weekend. Isn't it amazing how beautiful the simplest things can look through the lens of an iPhone? I'm still wondering how it's possible I've lived so long with out one. Anyway that's a different post. This weekend my aunt and now uncle were married at my grandparents cabin in bear lake. It was a blast to spend time with family and see people that I don't normally get to. We built fires, and had long talks with new cousins, we ate grandpas famous cabin breakfast, and made ourselves sick eating too many bear lake raspberries. We visited LaBeaus and went shopping, and spent too much time laughing. Overall it was certainly a weekend not to be forgotten - this is what summer is all about, I'm so grateful for family, and good friends.
